Lest we forget, Mother Nature is one of the prime gifts in this area. Spring comes with the soft greens and muted rusts and oranges. Some say this is a forerunner of the vivid colors of the fall. Summer is full of the rich vibrant greens – thousands of shades of green cast over the mountainsides. As warm weather retreats, the area becomes a vibrant and magnificent color display. All that was green fades to gold, amber and sienna; requesting comfy sweaters and warm drinks as you sit in the cool air and witness the shifting seasons. It’s a complementary show, a gift provided by nature to ease us into winter. As winter comes, soft powdery snow blankets the area, providing residents with yet another incredible view of the distant mountains covered with snow. All seasons, and particularly the holidays, in western North Carolina bring a timeless peace, which infuses you and spreads through those who are dearest in your heart.
